Hi! You're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to disable application notifications in Windows 8.
First thing that we need to do is open the charms menu by moving the cursor to the upper-right corner of the screen.
We click "Change PC settings".
When we see "PC settings", we need to click "Search and apps".
We click "Notifications". At the right side of the screen, we can shut down notifications.
For example, if we turn off "Show app notifications", then all of the notifications will be turned off.
If we want to be more specific, then we can turn off application notifications at the lock screen, disable notification sounds, turn on the screen when we get a call, and set "Quiet hours". For example, we can set the option not to receive any notifications from 12AM to 6AM.
We can also click "Receive calls during quiet hours".
We can be even more specific by enabling or disabling notifications for specific applications. For example, if we don't want notifications from "Asphalt 8: Airborne", then we click the toggle to turn them off.
We set everything according to our preference.
Then, we can go back to the desktop. To do this, we move the mouse cursor into the upper-left corner of the screen and click there.
This concludes the tutorial on how to disable application notifications in Windows 8. Thank you for watching VisiHow! If you have any other comments or questions, please leave them in the comment section below.
