Hi, welcome to VisiHow. In this tutorial, I'm going to show you how to delete or remove keyboards on the iPhone 6.
Steps
1
To begin, unlock the phone by pressing the round 'Home button' at the bottom center of the phone
.
This will take you to the lock screen. Swipe right to enter your passcode.
2
Alternatively, we can press the 'Lock button' located on the right-hand side of the phone
.
This will take you to the lock screen. Swipe right to enter your passcode.
3
As an alternative to entering your passcode, use your finger or thumb print on the home button to scan the touch ID allowing you to access the 'Home screen' of the phone
.
You will now be on the home screen.
4
Find the settings icon, which looks silver with a series of gears
.
Tap it once to open the 'Settings' panel.
5
Scroll down and tap the 'General' button
.
This will take us to general settings.
6
Scroll down and look for the 'Keyboard' button
.
Tap the 'Keyboard' button once to open the keyboard settings.
7
Tap on the 'Keyboards' button at the top of the list
.
8
Tap the 'Edit' button located at the top right of the screen
.
As we can see, in this example there are 4 different keyboards installed.
9
Tap the red button on the left side of the screen to delete a specific keyboard
.
In this example, we will be deleting the Russian keyboard. Tap the red 'Delete' button to confirm deleting the keyboard. We can reinstall these keyboards at any time.
10
Tap the arrow in the top left corner to go back to keyboard settings
.
Tap the arrow two more times to go back to the 'Settings' panel where we can update edit or change other phone options as we find the need to do so.
11
Double press the 'Home' button, and close the window by swiping it upwards
.
12
Tap on this window to take us back to the 'Home screen'
.
13
This concludes our tutorial on how to edit, and specifically how to delete existing keyboards including the 'Emoji' keyboard on the iPhone 6
