In order to delete or remove fingerprints, we need to have our phone unlocked

We should be on the home screen.

Once we are on the home screen, we swipe down from the top of the phone

The notifications panel will be shown. On the upper-right side, we will see a white gear-shaped icon. It accesses the "Settings" panel.

We locate "Lock screen and security"

If we don't have "Lock screen and security" in "Quick settings", we scroll down to "Personal"

We are going to move to the "Security" section and tap on "Fingerprints" one time

After tapping on "Fingerprints", we will be asked either to enter our backup password or press our finger against the home button.

We will access the "Fingerprints" section. We have to note that having more than two fingerprints degrades the performance of the phone. Specifically, it won't operate fast when looking for fingerprints. This is because the phone has to check against all of the fingerprints (three, four, or five) that we may have stored. It is advised to have no more than three fingerprints. Preferably, no more than two.

From "Fingerprints", we tap on the "EDIT" option if we would like to delete a fingerprint

Once we've tapped on "EDIT", we check a fingerprint
