Delete Multiple Contacts from iPhone 6 Using Groups Application
Edited by Grimm, Rushell, Eng
Welcome to VisiHow. In this tutorial, we will teach you how to delete multiple contacts from your iPhone 6. In order to do this, we're going to need to download an application from the App Store called Groups.
Steps
1
For this, we'll need to open the "App Store" via the "App Store" icon
.
That icon is a blue box with a white circle and a white letter A on it. It is labeled "App Store".
2
We'll press one time on the "App Store" icon, and this will open the App Store
.
We will be taken to the "Featured" section.
3
We are not interested in the "Featured" applications, so we need to go down to the fourth icon at the bottom of the screen
.
It is a magnifying glass, and it says "Search" underneath.
4
Tap on that "Search" icon
.
5
Press one time in "Search" bar across the top of the screen
.
6
Since we are looking for Groups, we'll type that
.
7
Now, we can simply tap "Search" at the bottom right corner of the keyboard, and we'll wait for Groups to appear
.
8
This is the icon we are looking for, a single central circle with five arms and five circles around it
.
9
The app is called "Groups", and it's by Cubix, Inc
.
10
One tap on the title, "Groups", will take us into the actual application, where we can download the app
.
11
We can see in our demonstration that we've previously downloaded it, as indicated by the cloud
.
In other cases, we might have to Get the app.
12
Tap in the same area, whatever the icon may be, in order to begin to downloading "Groups"
.
13
Once it starts downloading, it will change to a box
.
When the download is complete, we will launch the app.
14
Now that our download has finished, we will see that the icon has changed to "OPEN"
.
15
Press on "OPEN" to launch the application
.
16
The first thing we'll see is a pop-up window asking if we will allow "Groups" to access our contacts
.
17
In order for the application to function, we must select "OK", so we'll press that one time
.
18
Now, it says "Welcome to Groups!"
19
In order to use the application, we need to create groups, which we can do by tapping on "All Contacts" at the top
.
This will enable us to create a group. For our purposes, however, we are going to delete multiple contacts.
20
To do this, first tap on "All Contacts"
.
21
We will then scroll down to an area where we'd like to start deleting contacts
.
22
Begin selecting contacts by tapping just to the left of their name
.
23
This adds check marks next to those contacts
.
24
Tapping closer onto the name will open an "Info" screen about that contact
.
25
Tap "Back" at the top left-hand corner to return to the previous screen, and then we can select that contact to be deleted as well if desired
.
26
Now that we have several contacts selected, we can go up and tap on "Actions" in the top right-hand corner
.
27
On the menu that appears from the bottom, we can simply select, "Delete contacts"
.
28
We will then be asked, "Are you sure about this?"
29
If certain about deleting the contacts, we can tap "Remove from my iPhone"
.
Then the contacts will be deleted.
30
We can continue scrolling through and deleting in any area where we have contacts we don't like or that are unfamiliar
.
31
In our example, I have a series of "KRSU" contacts, which are specific only to my wife
.
32
I can go down and tap on all of these
.
33
Now, let's tap on "Actions" at the top
.
34
Now, we'll select "Delete contacts"
.
35
Then "Remove from my iPhone"
.
36
Tap on "All Contacts" at the top of the screen
.
37
We now have "268" contacts
.
38
This is how to delete multiple contacts from your iPhone 6 using the Groups application
.
