Delete Individual Messages in Facebook Messenger Chat on iPhone 6
Edited by Kara, Amanda, Eng, JAN and 1 other
Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we will show you how to delete messages within a chat on Facebook Messenger using the iPhone 6.
To start, hold a finger to the home button to unlock the phone using the fingerprint scanner.
Look for the "Messenger" application. The white icon features a blue speech bubble with a white lightning sign inside. Give it a single tap to open it.
Scroll down to find a chat to edit and tap on it.
Scroll through the chat history on the screen. Find a message we want to delete.
Place a finger on the message and hold down for a couple of seconds, three options pop up. Then tap on "Delete" in the middle.
Now, Facebook is asking if we really want to delete this message. We do, so tap "Delete" on the white window that pops up from the bottom of the screen. Now, the message is gone. Let's see how this works with one of our own messages.
Scroll and place a finger on a message and hold it until the pop-up menu appears.
Then confirm by tapping "Delete" again at the bottom of the screen.
You just watched us demonstrate how to delete messages within one chat on the Facebook Messenger when using an iPhone 6. If you have any additional questions about how your Facebook Messenger or related applications work, please leave your comments in the section below. Thank you for watching VisiHow. Bye-bye.
