You're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to delete an application from the iPad Air 2.
Steps
1
In order to remove (uninstall) applications from an iPad, the iPad needs to be unlocked
.
It should be on the home screen.
2
Then, you may need to swipe right or left to find the application that you would like to delete
.
3
Simply tap and hold the program icon
.
All of the applications will begin to shake, and there will be an "X" on them. Everything with an X can be deleted.
4
Tap on the "X" next to the application
.
This will bring up a pop-up menu asking if we want to delete the software. It is "Rival Kingdoms" in this tutorial.
5
We may get another pop-up menu asking if we want to remove "Rival Kingdoms" from Game Center. Some games will have this option if they are connected to Game Center. Other applications, for example, a phone or messaging applications, may not have that.
6
You can either tap on "Keep" or "Remove"
.
It is recommended to remove the application from Game Center when you delete it. If you don't, you can end up having a lot of extra used storage space on your tablet.
7
In this video, we swipe over to see that none of the applications can be deleted
.
These are system applications. System applications are an integral part of an iPad Air 2, and they cannot be removed.
8
In this video, swiping right will reveal other applications
.
Those applications have been installed, and they have an "X" on them, indicating that they can be deleted.
9
Once you've removed applications from your iPad Air 2, you can simply press the home button
.
This will stop the icons from shaking and remove the "X"s, allowing you to resume normal use without having to worry about accidentally deleting something.
