   To begin, unlock the phone by pressing the top right-hand-side power button

   Swipe upwards one time to get to the home screen

   Find the Vine icon on the home screen

   It's a green circle with a "v" inside of it.

   If it's not on the home screen, access the application through the Apps menu

   The icon is a gray box with a set of white squares inside of it. For now, we will open Vine directly from the home screen.

   Tap on the Vine icon one time

   Once it loads the home page, we can see that there is a set of icons in the green bar along the top, next to the word "Vine". There's messages, and a video camera, and then a set of three dots that gives us some more options.

   Tap the three dots icon one time

   We get a pop-up menu with options to "Search", "Find Friends", "Mute audio" or go to "Settings".

   Tap "Settings", which is the bottom option, one time

   This takes us to our profile.

   Scroll down through the profile

   We will pass "Account" settings, "Friends", "Social Networks" that we've connected, as well as "Support". The very last option under "Support" is "Deactivate account".

   Select "Deactivate account" by tapping there one time

    Confirm deactivation

    .

    It says, "Your profile and content will be hidden shortly after deactivating. Your account can be reactivated by logging in within 30 days. After 30 days, your account will be deleted permanently." If we do want to go ahead with this, we can select "Deactivate" by tapping on it one time. Let's do that.
