   To get started, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the right-hand side of the phone

   Once the phone is activated, you'll see the lock screen

   Swipe the lock screen up to enter the home screen.

   Locate and press the Vine tile in the home screen to enter the application

   It has a turquoise background with a white "V" in it. There will also be some images from Vines that were recently viewed, which will be different from the ones in the example. If the tile has not been pinned to the home screen, swipe to the left and find it in the "Apps" menu.

   Press "Deactivate account" at the bottom of the screen in gray lettering

   A menu will pop up that says "Deactivate your account

   ?

   Your profile and content will be hidden shortly after deactivating. Your account can be reactivated by logging in within 30 days. After 30 days, your account will be deleted permanently". Press "deactivate", and it will give you 30 days to think about your choice. If you do not log in and reactivate the account within 30 days, it will be permanently deleted. It is a backup safety option in case you fly into a fit of rage and deactivate your account, only to come crawling back 10 days later and reactivating.
