Hi. You're watching VisiHow, and this is a tutorial on how to customize the "Send to" menu on Windows 7 computers.
Steps
1
To start, we right-click on the "New Text Document" on the desktop
.
2
Then, hover the mouse over the "Send to" menu
.
We will see several paths where Windows 7 can send this file. We can add an option manually to this list.
3
To do so, we need to open the File Explorer
.
Open "Computer" by double-clicking the icon on the desktop.
4
In the address bar, we need to write, "shell:sendto"
.
Now hit "Enter". We'll be in the "Send to" menu.
5
To add a folder here, we need to first access a folder
.
Let's use this "VisiHow" folder.
6
Now, we can drop our shortcut here
.
To drop our shortcut, we need to press and hold the "VisiHow" folder, and then drag it to the left window. Do not let go of the mouse button.
7
We need to first press the "Alt" key, on the keyboard
.
Release both the mouse, and the keyboard buttons.
8
The "VisiHow - Shortcut" folder has been added
.
9
For example, let's remove "- Shortcut".
10
Now, if we right-click on the "New Text Document" on the desktop, and hover the mouse over "Send to", we will see that there is a new path added to this menu
.
It is "VisiHow".
11
If we click it, and then double-click the "VisiHow" folder, we will see that the "New Text Document" has been sent to this folder
.
12
This concludes our tutorial on how to customize the "Send to" menu on Windows 7 computers
.
