To begin, unlock the phone by pressing the power button on the top right-hand side, then swipe up

We do have Evernote on the home screen

It's a green box icon with an elephant inside of it. If we don't have it on the home screen, we can access it through the apps menu. The icon for the apps menu is in the bottom right-hand corner in this example. It is a grey box with a set of white squares inside of it and below the icon it says "Apps". This brings us to a grid of all of the apps we've downloaded.

We will open Evernote by tapping on the icon on the home screen

Here we can see all of the notes.

To get to the settings to customize the button, we need to tap the icon in the top right-hand corner
.
The icon looks like a bulleted list with 3 dots. This will open a pop-up menu with more options.

Tap on "Settings", the last option

Scroll down slightly and tap on "Notes" which is next to a small icon of a page

The first option is "Customize + Button", so tap on that
.
We can change what functions appear in this menu. Here we can select up to 6 options by tapping to add or remove, and dragging to reorder. We have the automatically selected "Text Note" as well as 5 additional options.

When we tap on a function to delete it, it appears as a gray item that is not selected

We'll tap on "Work Chat".

When we tap on a gray function to add it, the icon appears in green at the top

We'll add "Speech-to-text".

Tap and drag the three horizontal lines to the right of each function to reorder them

In order to save it when we're completed, we can tap on "SAVE" in the top right-hand corner

We will see a confirmation appear at the bottom that says "Changed saved"

In order to go back, we can tap the back arrow in the top left-hand corner

Tap the back arrow one more time

This will bring us to our notes.

We can tap the add button to see our changes

It's a green circle with a plus sign.
