To get started, what we are going to do is start from the main screen which the application opens too

You will notice that you can scroll throw the series of videos. These are all the recommended videos. Some of them are recommended from your past viewing experience and some of them are simply recommended as top chooses or top videos.

Next we have the Shows
.
These are a series of shows such as "Sesame street", "Thomas and Friends", "TutituTv", "Pocoyo" and other popular applications and programs that children like.

Following that we have Music
.
They are simple children songs and singing songs as well as lullabies and things to help children get to sleep.

Next we have Learning

Learning, will provide educational programs specifically geared to counting, alphabets such as these numbers, shapes, etc.

Finally, we have an exploration option where you can explore different things and new things that won't normally come up under the previous channels

Those are the main functions of the application

However, there are additional functions as well. One of those functions is the search option which allows you to search. Alternatively you could tap the red microphone button which will let your child speak search terms.

Additionally, if you would like to you can customize the application by pressing the little gray lock which appears on the bottom right-hand side

One tap on that will open up a window that indicates it's for grown ups only and you will be requested to answer the numbers

Numbers vary from each time you access this menu. In this case, I have 0-4-9-8 which are written here. So I will tap in 0-4-9-8

This will take me to a menu where I have an option for a timer, basic settings, and feedback

Let's start with feedback since that is the easy one and not particularly relevant to the operation of the application

It will open a window where you can give feedback and information to Google as well as provide information and let them know if you want to be anonymous or not

Let's tap the back soft key on our phone to go back and now we will tap the lock button to access our menu which will once more prompt us for a code

Now we will go to settings
.
Tapping the red settings button one time gives you an option to choose. Here we have the audio, background music, sound effects and then we have content controls. Beneath that where we can limit search or turn off search so that children can't search. We can clear our watch history. There is a privacy policy link, terms of service, Licenses to review and addition help should you need it. Also, there is version information as sometimes the version changes and updates and different features may be specific to a particular version.

Now it is time to back soft key, one more time to go back

Now we will tap on Timer
.
Timer is an option to allow you to set the time for when the children are allowed to use it. When the timer finishes, the application is no longer usable by the child.

This is particularly helpful for children who don't pay attention to the time or for adults who may be too busy to actively monitor the children's usage with the device
.
You simply slide the slider up and down to the desired time, and click start timer. When that happens you can hand the device to the child. If you find the timer is too restrictive, another thing that works well is making sure that when you give the child the device the battery charge is low enough that it will simply run out of battery charge and you will need to have the device charged.
