- 10The first option is "None". It will have no network settings at all. The second option is "Smart network sharing". "Automatically turn on USB Tethering or Internet Pass-through when available". "USB tethering" is when we connect our phone to another device by Bluetooth, to share the internet. "Internet pass-through" is used to share a computer's network connection with this HTC One M8. The final option is "MirrorLink connection". It says, "Connect phone to Head Unit via MirrorLink." If we have a head unit, this is where we will connect to it. "Smart network sharing" is the automatic option, and the rest are individual custom options. "Smart network sharing" will automatically turn on "USB Tethering" and "Internet pass-through." Or, we can just choose one.We have a collection of options.
- 11We may want to turn this off when we aren't using it. Make sure that "None" is selected. We can see a green circle located to the right of the word "None. It indicates that this option has been selected. We can choose or change these options by pressing down on any one of them. Let's press down on "USB Tethering".Choose the option that is correct for us.
