Scroll down and tap on "App light notifications" in the "NOTIFICATIONS" section
    .
It says "set up app light notifications" underneath of it. We are going to demonstrate how to customize this section. What this option does, is it flashes when we receive a notification. It can drain the battery faster, so we may want to customize them to save some battery life. We can customize what applications will show a flash when we receive a notification from them.

Press on a box to turn the option off
    .
The options are "Missed call", "Voice mail", "Messages", "Calender", "Mail", and "Alarms". We may not need the flash, especially if it already has a lot of noise such as "Alarms". Pressing down on the box will remove or add a checkmark. If we see a white checkmark in a green box, that means the option is enabled. Deactivate it by tapping on the box and taking the checkmark away. Make the choice that's right for you. These won't affect the sound of these applications, it will just affect the flash and the light that is emitted from the HTC One M8.
