Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video we are going to show you how to customize what is displayed when an HTC One M8 is in "Daydream" mode.

To begin turn the phone on by pressing the Power button located on the top of the phone

Once the phone has been activated we'll see the lock screen

To unlock the phone, press down on the screen and hold down until the two padlock icons appear at the bottom of the screen

Then swipe up.

Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the Home screen and at the bottom we will see a row of icons

What we need to do now is find the Settings menu

To do that we can swipe down the Notification panel.

Press down at the top of the screen, hold down, then swipe down
.
Now we will see that the Notification panel has appeared. We are looking for the icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen there a white cog icon. This is the Settings icon. Press down on it and it will open our Settings menu.

We can see the word "Settings" at the top left corner of the screen

Let's scroll down to the PHONE section

It says "PHONE" in the grey bar on the left-hand side of the screen. Directly underneath this grey bar are the words "Display & gestures," next to an icon of a phone.

Press down anywhere in that area and it's going to open up our "Display & gestures" menu

We want this "Daydream" option
.
Underneath it says "Google Photos" because this is the option selected. Therefore different words may be under the word "Daydream" depending on the option we all have selected. Let's press down on this section and it will open up our options.

What we want to do is to show you how to customize what is displayed when an HTC One M8 is in "Daydream" mode
.
To do that we want to make sure that "Daydream" mode is on. We can see that there is an on and off icon at the top center of the screen. It is currently turned on because it has the word "ON" and part of the icon is green. Make sure this option and icon is turned on so we can show you how to choose what will be displayed in this function.

We can see that "Google Photos" is currently the option that is selected because it has the green circle next to it

Press down on the "Settings" icon, at the right of the screen

It's a grey cog.

We have to make selections

We have to link this, choose the account which we have done. It's VisiHow.

Then we choose which area we want to take photos from

We can choose "Camera." If we want "Camera" press down on the box until the checkmark appears

If we want to remove an area then press down on the box until the checkmark disappears. Viber images is also there. We will all have different applications based on the applications we've downloaded such as Instagram or Facebook. There will be different options than the ones listed in this example.

Press down on the boxes we want to select and those that we don't

When we are happy press down on the back arrow in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.

That will take us back to this menu

Let's press down on this icon at the bottom of the screen

It says the words "START NOW" in the grey box.

Now we can see when the phone is in "Daydream" mode it will show our photos

Press down on the screen to go back to the menu

Let's look at "News & Weather." Press down on "News & Weather" and it will move the green circle.

Then press down on the "START NOW" icon at the bottom of the screen

It will show us some news. It will also show us the time.

Press down on the screen again to go back to the menu

Click on the word "Colors." Then press down on "START NOW" again.
