Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to choose the notification sound for the Calendar application on an HTC One M8.

Steps

To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone
.
Once the phone has been activated we will see the lock screen.

To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up

Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We now need to open the application folder.

We can do that by tapping the icon in the middle, at the bottom of the screen

There is a grid of white dots. This is the icon for the applications folder.

Now that the folder has been opened, we need to find and tap the Calendar icon
.
There is an icon of a Calendar and says the word "Calendar" underneath it as well. Your Calendar application may be in a different location, so look for the icon in your folder.

We now need to tap on the 3 small white squares in a vertical line, in the top right-hand corner

This will open up our menu.

We want the "Settings" option

Press down on that.

Tap on "Notification sound"

Underneath it will say the current sound. In this case, it's "Orchid". Tapping on this will open up the list of sounds.

Orchid is currently selected, indicated by the green circle

Scroll through and listen to them to find a pleasant tone.

Tap on the selected tone

We will select "Iris". Once we press down on it, we'll see the green circle next to it.

We can press down on "OK" when we're satisfied

This will take us out of the menu, back to the calendar.

Press down on the 3 small white squares in the top right-hand corner of the screen again to open the menu
