Curl Your Hair with a Bumped Wand
Edited by Jessica, Amanda, Eng
Hi everyone! Welcome to VisiHow. My name is Jessica, and today I'm going to show you how to curl your hair with a bumped wand. The only difference between the bumped wand and the regular wand is the bumps. It's not a straight barrel.
Steps
1
First, we need heat protector for our hair
.
We are using "Heat Defeat Protecting Spray" by Frizz Ease.
2
Spray it into a hairbrush
.
3
Brush through straight, dry sections of hair that haven't been curled yet
.
This way, we're protecting those sections of hair.
4
Grab a rather large chunk of hair
.
5
Place the wand under the section of hair, a few inches away from the roots
.
6
Start wrapping the hair around the wand
.
Try to stick to wrapping in between the bumps. This creates a great curl.
7
Keep the hair wrapped for about 10 to 15 seconds
.
We're making sure that every piece is feeling that heat.
8
That way, we're not straightening any pieces while we're at it.
9
Now we have another perfect curl
.
10
We've already put heat protector on this next section, which we will separate so it's not too big.
11
We're getting it right in between the bumps once again, and then holding it for another 15 seconds
.
12
Slowly let it out once again
.
13
If we don't like some of the curls that are coming out, we're going to leave it for about an hour
.
Then spray some hairspray on it and go back and redo the curl. It will be just fine.
14
When curling, hold the end of the last bump so it's not so hard on the fingers
.
The final bump has got a protective plastic piece. We're holding our last section here for another 15 seconds, and then letting it out slowly so all of the curls stay curly and do not get straightened.
15
Use whatever hairspray is desired
.
Spray it downwards into the hair, and then bringing it back up.
16
Wear the curls either half up or all of it down, and it still looks cute
.
