Hello and thank you for watching VisiHow. In this tutorial, we're going to show you how to create and save a document to your Google Drive account for easy viewing later from any location, on your LG L70.
Steps
1
To begin, unlock the phone by pressing the top right-hand side button
.
2
Swipe up to access the home screen
.
3
We don't have the Google Drive icon on the home screen, so we can access by tapping on the apps icon
.
In this case, it's located in the bottom right-hand corner. It's a gray box with a bunch of white squares inside of it labeled "Apps". Tap that to see all of the applications on the phone.
4
We need to swipe left or right until we find the Drive icon, then tap it
.
It's a triangular shaped icon in three different colors. Tapping on that takes us to the Google Drive application where we're already signed in. From here, we'll view all of our documents created.
5
To add a new document, we can press the icon in the bottom right-hand corner
.
It's red with a plus sign. This allows us to upload a folder, upload a document from the phone or scan something. We can also make a document with Google Docs, which is a word file, a spreadsheet with Google Sheets, or a presentation slide with Google Slides.
6
Tap on the chosen option
.
We want to make a word file, so we're going to tap "Google Docs" one time. This brings up a brand new blank document. From here we can type our document as we like.
7
We can change the font by tapping the 'A' at the top
.
8
We can choose the style, font, size, color, and the highlight color
.
9
We can add a link, an image or a table by tapping on the plus sign
.
10
We can also add a menu by tapping on the 3 vertical dots in the top right-hand corner
.
11
If we would like to keep a copy offline, we can tap the box to the right of "Keep offline"
.
12
We can also share the file by tapping on "Share & export"
.
13
When we're finished with the document, we can tap on the check mark in the top left-hand corner
.
14
We can tap the "X" in the top left-hand corner to close the document
.
This brings us back to our Google Drive.
15
If we scroll down, we'll see that document, "Untitled document"
.
It was modified one minute ago.
16
To give this document a name, we can press and hold until it vibrates, then tap the 3 dots
.
17
We're going to tap "Rename" to rename the document
.
We can also move it, print it, download a copy, remove the file completely, share it, send it, add people or remove it entirely from the device.
18
We can type in the title and tap "OK"
.
19
The document now has a name, "test"
.
20
To close the Google Drive application, we can press the back button until we get to the home screen
.
21
Alternatively, we can press the bottom center button one time
.
22
Now we are back at the home screen
.
23
This concludes the tutorial on how to create and save a document to your Google Drive account for easy viewing later from any location, on the LG L70
.
