Hello and welcome to VisiHow, in this video we are going to show you how to create and edit folders in the application folder on the HTC One M8.

Steps

To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the 'Power Button' located on the top of the phone
.
Once the phone is activated it shows the Lock Screen. To unlock the phone, press down on the screen, hold down until you see this icon and then swipe up.

This shows your Home Screen with icons along the bottom, we need to find the Application folder which is the icon in the middle with 3 lines of 3 white dots

Press the icon.

This opens up and shows all of our Applications with some folders that are already created
.
If we want to create new folders or edit folders we must be in the 'Custom' option. Press down on 'Apps' on the top left-hand corner to make sure you are at the "Custom' option.

We can now press the icon with 3 small white dots in a vertical line on the top right-hand corner, this will bring up options

We want the first option called 'Rearrange apps'. Press down on that.

We are now able to rearrange our applications and create or edit folders
.
To create a folder all we need to do is to drag one application onto another one and then it will create a folder containing the 2 applications. For example, let's create a folder with Facebook and Twitter. Press down on the Facebook icon, the phone will vibrate, now we can move the icon, keeping your finger on the square and drag over to the Twitter icon.

A black square will appear around the Twitter icon 'inviting' the application into the folder with the Facebook icon

A new folder is now created containing both Twitter and Facebook applications.

We can rename this folder by pressing down on it and then press on 'Unnamed Folder'

Now the keypad has appeared and we can enter a name, an example being 'Social'
.
To save this, press the main screen out of this box.

Now we have a Social folder

More applications can be added by holding down on the application until the phone vibrates and then dragging and dropping into the folder.

If we want to remove an application from the folder, press down on the folder to open it up, then select the application you want to remove
.
Press down on the application until the phone vibrates then drag and drop back out of the folder onto the screen.

We can create as many folders as needed and it helps to keep your application folder neat by grouping similar applications together
.
Always make sure to be in 'Customize' section and once you are finished press the white tick in the top right-hand corner.
