   To begin, unlock the phone by pressing the power button on the top right-hand side

   Then swipe up one time to get to the home screen

   The Kindle icon is installed on the home screen

   It says, "Kindle" on it.

   If there is no Kindle icon on the home screen it can be accessed through the Apps menu, which is an icon of a gray box with white squares inside of it

   This example will open the app directly from the home screen by tapping on the Kindle icon once.

   From here, we need to tap on "Start reading," which is the orange box at the bottom center of the screen

   Underneath that it reads, "By signing in or creating an account, you agree to the Kindle Terms." We can tap on the Terms to read online

   If we don't want to read the Terms, tap the orange box one time.

   Now we have the option to "Sign in" or "Create an account." We do want to create a new account today, which is done through the bottom, gray box

   Select "Create an account" by tapping the box once.

   Now we will need to enter the name, the email address, create a password, and then re-enter the password

   Once the form is completed we will select the orange box that says, "Create your Amazon account," by tapping once
