    To begin, unlock the phone by pressing the power button on the top right-hand side, then swipe up

    We do have Evernote on the home screen
    .
    It's a green box icon with an elephant inside of it. If we don't have it on the home screen, we can access it through the apps menu. The icon for the apps menu is in the bottom right-hand corner in this example. It is a gray box with a set of white squares inside of it and below the icon it says "Apps". This brings us to a grid of all of the apps we've downloaded.

    We will open Evernote by tapping on the icon on the home screen

    This will bring us to the list of notes that have been created.

    Press the white plus sign in the green circle on the right-hand side to add a new note
