This looks different from a resume that is prepared for European, Asian and Middle Eastern countries in a few ways. We will be discussing the specifics of preparing your CV or resume for the United States. We will begin by discussing contact information, as well as objective statements.

   At the very beginning of the resume or CV, we need to place our name and contact information

   For the United States, we are only giving limited information. This includes our full name, which may be in a larger font or even bolded, as it is in this demonstration.

   I personally have headings for my own CV or resume in all capital normal letters. I have written my own in roughly 11 pt font, so it is not too large and not too small.

   An objective statement will inform a potential employer, or anybody who is reviewing our resume, what skills we have as a general overview, and what we hope to gain by acquiring employment in this position

   We may have several objective statements if we are applying to many different jobs. General wisdom says that we should not have a too broad and generic objective statement.

   However, if we cannot prepare an objective statement that is good, we can completely remove it

    With some experience, I have instead traded an objective statement for a single line that I personally call my "Professional Profile"

    We may also include an executive summary, which will also inform people of who we are. My own "Professional Profile" says that I am a hospitality professional with over seven years of customer experience in four and five star properties.
