Hello, and thank you for watching VisiHow. Today, I will show you how to create a new group in Facebook Messenger to easily send group messages, on an LG L70.

Steps

To begin, we will unlock our phone by pressing the Power button one time
.
This button is located near the top, on the right-hand side of the device.

We will then press down on the screen, and swipe upwards one time
.
This will take us to the Home screen. We do not have Facebook Messenger as an icon on our Home screen, so we will need to access it through the Facebook application. Alternatively, we can access the Messenger application directly through our Apps menu.

We will now open the Apps menu by tapping the "Apps" icon one time
.
This icon features a gray box, with a grid of white squares inside of it. This icon is currently located in the bottom, right-hand corner of our screen. This will open up the Apps menu for us, where we can view all of the applications we have downloaded and made visible in our Apps menu. From here, we can scroll left and right until we have located the Facebook Messenger application.

Once we have located the Messenger application icon, we will tap on it one time
.
This icon features a blue chat bubble, with a white lightening bolt placed inside of it. The word "Messenger" will be written underneath of this icon. Once the application is open, we will see our most recent chats. Across the top, there will be four icons. There will be a gear icon, a list icon, an icon featuring a group of people, as well as a clock icon.

We will now tap the second icon, located at the top of the screen
.
This icon features a group of three people.This will bring us to an area where we can create a new group chat.

We are now going to tap on one of the icons labeled "New Group"
.
Here, we can choose the people to add to our group chat.

First, we will name the group by tapping the text box, currently labeled "Name (ex
:
Cousins)". This will open up the keyboard, which we will use to type in our group name. We are going to name our new group "family". We will now select all the people we would like to add to our group.

We can now tap on the "Add people to the group" text box, where we will begin to type a name until the desired friend appears in the list

Once the friend appears on screen, we will tap their name one time to add them to the group
.
We can do this as many times as needed until all of our friends have been added to the group.

Once we have added everyone to the group, we can tap "CREATE GROUP"
.
This option is located in the top, right-hand corner of the screen. To the left of the words "CREATE GROUP", there will be a white check mark icon. We can now see we have created an active group to use for group messages.

To close Messenger and return to the Home screen, we will press the Home button one time
