Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to create a list in Twitter using an HTC One M8.

To begin, turn the phone On by pressing the power button located on top of the phone

Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen; to unlock the phone, swipe the screen upwards

Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the home screen and at the bottom, we will see these icons

It is one of these icons that we now need to access as we need to open up the applications folder.

To open the applications folder, we need to press the icon in the bottom center of the home screen

The icon is a grid of white dots.

In the applications folder, we need to find the Twitter application
.
Mine is located here. We can see the Twitter icon which has a blue background with a white bird on top and underneath, there are the words "Twitter". Your Twitter application may be in a different position in this folder. Therefore, you will need to find it and press down on it to enter the application. What we want to do in this tutorial is show you how to create a list.

To create a list, we need to go to our own profile page and we can do that by pressing down on this icon with three small white dots in a vertical line

Pressing down on this icon will open up a new menu.

Right at the top, we will see our username, nickname and our profile photo so press down on that section to open up our profile

We want to tap on the "View Lists" option and it will take us to a new section
.
Lists on Twitter allow us to create different categories or areas. For example, we can start a list for friends, work colleagues, family, football friends, et cetera. This is a way of creating different groups to which, we can add people and accounts.

To create a new list, press down on the white plus sign on the top blue bar

It is going to ask us to write a "List name" and we are going to enter in "Friends"
.
It also asks for a "List description" which is optional and so, we will leave it blank.

We also have the option to keep it private

We are going to make it private because it is just for friends.

Once we are happy, we can press down on the word "SAVE" on the top right-hand corner of the screen

Now we can see that the list has been saved and we have the padlock beside the list name indicating that it is a private list
.
The author name is underneath the list name which is us and now we can add people to this list.
