    To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the right-hand side of the phone

    Swipe the lock screen up from the bottom to enter the home screen

    Locate the WhatsApp tile if it is pinned to your home screen

    If WhatsApp has not been pinned to your home screen, swipe across the screen from right to left to open the App menu

    Tap the text box below Group subject and type in a subject

    You can also add an emoticon by pressing on the smiley face at the end of the text box. For our demonstration, we'll put Football as the group subject.

    From here, we can either take a photo now, choose a photo from one of our albums, or search the web for an image

    Adjust the image as desired

    If the image was bigger, it could be moved around by holding and dragging it along the screen.

    When you're happy with the image, press the check mark below the image at the bottom of the screen

    Now, the corresponding photo appears to the left of the group subject name

    We can add more if needed.

    As soon as you are happy with the participants you have chosen, tap the check mark at the bottom of the screen
