Edited by Djinu, Alexander Avdeev, Eng
You're watching VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show how to create a new document using Pages for the Mac.
To create a new document, we click "File" at the top
We click "New..." or press the "Command" and "N" keys on the keyboard
An option of either using a blank document or one of the pre-chosen preconfigured templates will be shown.
Let's choose a blank document
If we don't want to go over that extra step in the future when we create a new document, we click "Pages"
We click "Preferences..."
We can configure "For New Documents" to "Use template
Blank". This will configure new documents to always use the blank template.
We can click "Change Template..." if there is a specific template that we are using a lot
This will change the default template to a specific template.
We click "Cancel" and leave the setting on the blank template
Whenever we press "Command" and "N", Pages will bring up a new blank template without having to choose between different styles
This was how to create a new document in Pages on the Mac. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them in the space below. Thank you for watching!
