Create a Document in Pages for Mac
Edited by Djinu, Alexander Avdeev, Eng
You're watching VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show how to create a new document using Pages for the Mac.
To create a new document, we click "File" at the top.
We click "New..." or press the "Command" and "N" keys on the keyboard. An option of either using a blank document or one of the pre-chosen preconfigured templates will be shown.
Let's choose a blank document.
If we don't want to go over that extra step in the future when we create a new document, we click "Pages".
We click "Preferences..."
We can configure "For New Documents" to "Use template: Blank". This will configure new documents to always use the blank template.
We can click "Change Template..." if there is a specific template that we are using a lot. This will change the default template to a specific template.
We click "Cancel" and leave the setting on the blank template.
Whenever we press "Command" and "N", Pages will bring up a new blank template without having to choose between different styles.
This was how to create a new document in Pages on the Mac. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them in the space below. Thank you for watching!
