Edited by Grimm, Rushell, Eng
You're watching VisiHow. In this tutorial, we are going to show you how to create a new character in the Gloria Victis online game.
Steps
1
To do this, we need to go down to the "Create new character" button once we've logged in
.
To get help logging in, make sure to watch our other tutorial on how to log in.
2
For now, we'll go ahead and click on "Create new character" at the bottom of the screen to get started with the process
.
3
Once click on "Create new character" will open a screen with a character in underwear
.
At this time, the game is in a Beta stage, so we only have the option for male characters.
4
By tapping on different icons on the second row of the panel on the left, we can choose different races
.
5
The first image represents the "Midlanders" race
.
6
The second is the "Izmirs" race
.
7
The last two races are currently unavailable, but later they will be available
.
8
To keep it simple, "Midlanders" are basically English
.
9
"Izmirs" are Vikings, more or less
.
That's a very over-simplified part of the story line.
10
Once we've selected the race we'd like to have, we'll go up and click on the number "2" at the top of the panel
.
11
Once click on number "2" will allow us to adjust things, such as the "Height" of our character or how short our character would like to be
.
12
We can increase the "Body size", making our guy larger or considerably smaller
.
13
We can give him a big head or much smaller head
.
14
We can change the "Shoulder size" as well
.
The length of the arms increase along with the shoulders, so we can be a pretty creepy looking fellow if we choose to.
15
Once we've done all that, we can also change the skin tone by clicking on one of the squares at the bottom
.
16
When happy, click on the number "3" to zoom in on the character's head
.
This will allow us to change the face. As this is a Beta game, there are a limited number of faces available to choose from.
17
We can scroll through the different faces by clicking on the arrows before and after the number across from the word "Face" in the left panel
.
18
Add some "Facial hair" if desired
.
19
We can add "Hair" to the top of the head as well
.
20
Change the "Hair color" by clicking on one of the colored squares
.
21
When we're done, we'll click on the number "4" at the top right of the panel
.
This will allow us to name our character. We also have a set of initial starting attributes and our basic equipment.
22
This is an important thing to consider as we click on the different pieces of equipment
.
23
We have the light armor on the left, which includes a great ability our stamina
.
This is important for fighting, but it is not nearly as protective.
24
Then we have our middle armor
.
25
On the end, we have a much heavier armor
.
At the lower levels it's not going to make a big difference which one of the armors we choose, as none of them are very good.
26
For "Strength", "Constitution" and "Dexterity", in certain points of the game, approximately every 130 points, they cost 2 points to raise
.
At the lower levels, they only cost 1 point each to raise.
27
Clicking the max arrow will increase each one 5 at a time
.
We can add sets of 5 at a time and boost ourselves up accordingly.
28
"Dexterity" increases our ability make incredible hits, increases damage with bows and daggers
.
29
"Constitution" is health, regeneration and stamina
.
It helps the character defend against things like hammers and maces.
30
"Strength" obviously increases all of our damage, but also slashing damage reduction
.
This is one of the better ones if we're using swords, which are one of the better weapons in the game.
31
We can go down and click on the speaker icon to choose a voice; although, there are presently no extra voices to choose from
.
However, this is not an issue.
32
Click in the text box next to "Character name" to give the character a name
.
We'll name our character "VisiHow". The name needs to be at least give characters long.
33
Then click on "Create character" at the bottom of the panel
.
34
Once we've created our character, we'll note that the character is ready
.
35
We can left click and drag the mouse around to view the character from different angles
.
36
When we're ready, we can click on "Play"
.
That, however, is another tutorial.
37
Make sure to watch our tutorial on how to get started playing, and we'll help guide you through the first parts of playing Gloria Victis for the Windows 8 computer
.
As ever, thanks for choosing VisiHow. Have a great day. If you have questions or comments, let us know in the section below. If you're in the game and you need help, let us know about that too because we're also in the game.
