Create Hotel or Hospitality Business VIP Program
Edited by Hotelier, Rushell, Eng
Hello and thank you for watching VisiHow. In today's tutorial, we will explore how we can create a hotel VIP program. Aside from the members of your hotel brand's loyalty program, you may have other types of guests that you need to recognize in order to keep your level of service high. We'll discuss how to create such a program in this tutorial.
Steps
1
To begin, we need to determine who is a VIP
.
2
Our VIP may be a repeat guest coming for the second time
.
3
It could be a frequent guest or long-term guest, such as someone staying on our property for a month
.
We may want to recognize that guest.
4
This person could be a corporate VIP, such as the CEO of a company or another high level member of a company
.
It could also be a company meeting planner.
5
The guest could be a member of our loyalty program
.
6
It could be a celebrity or a high-ranking official
.
7
There could also be guests with a wedding or anniversary, or it could be a honeymoon couple
.
There may be some other categories of guests as well. We can have more broad categories, so there are fewer options, as well as a description of who fits into them.
8
After we've determined who a VIP is, especially if we're using a property management system, such as OPERA or Fidelio, we will need to come up with a code, such as "VIP1", "VIP2", "VIP3" "VIP4", "VIP5" and "VIP6"
.
It doesn't matter what name is given to each of the codes, as long as we can remember, and everyone on our team knows what those codes stand for. If a team member does not know, they should absolutely have access to the information that they need to find out.
9
After we've determined who the VIP is and set our VIP codes, we can determine what our VIPs will receive
.
How are we going to recognize these people?
10
It may be with an amenity, so we'll need to determine what kind of amenity these guests will receive
.
We may give a frequent guest a fruit plate, a cheese plate, or something to recognize that this guest is very valuable.
11
We may give them a discounted or a complementary service, such as 15% off of a spa treatment, depending on the ability of our company to provide this
.
12
We could give them a complementary upgrade, based on availability
.
If we do not have availability, then we wouldn't be able to provide this. If we do have the availability, our VIPs should be the first people that we think of in order to please give them a complementary upgrade.
13
We may also give them a letter
.
We can give them that letter along with any of the other items listed.
14
We can send a letter to the guest's room with an amenity
.
15
We can send the letter with their service discounts
.
16
We can also send a letter along with an upgrade
.
The letter is just to thank them for their continued business and let them know that we appreciate them coming to stay with us often, and being one of our valued guests.
17
This concludes today's presentation on how we can create a hotel VIP program and the things that we need to consider
.
