Create First Character in the Elder Scrolls Online Game for Windows 8
Edited by Grimm, priya, Eng
You're watching VisiHow. In this tutorial, we are going to show you how to create your first character in the Elder Scrolls online game. First, we'll choose a character race. Then we'll choose a character class. Finally, we'll choose a character body and character face. Each of these is discussed in detail in the tutorial.
Steps
1
To begin, let's place our mouse over the character, and we can move around to see
.
2
We can also use the "+" and "-" options beneath the character to zoom in or out
.
3
We can also use the left and right arrows beneath the character to turn or twist the character, and see them in different positions
.
4
We are in "PREVIEW" for the "Novice Gear", which is the beginning gear
.
It is shown along the left-hand side of the screen.
5
We can also click on "Veteran Gear", which will give us a preview of what the character will look like if they have the top gear for their class or profession
.
6
Also, we can click on "No Gear", which will give us a view of them in no gear
.
Let's stick to "Novice Gear" for this demonstration because this is what we will start with at the beginning of the game.
7
We will need to choose a "RACE" from the panel on the right-hand side of the screen
.
Right now, we have the race of "Breton" chosen.
8
Let's click beneath that and choose the "Orc" race
.
Orcs are a little bit different. They are a little bit hairy with big, nasty teeth.
9
We also have the "Redguard", which is a powerful fighting race in the game
.
10
Next, we can choose "High Elf"
.
High elves are somewhat haughty. They are the magic users, mostly.
11
We also have the "Wood Elf"
.
They are excellent archers, rangers and scouts.
12
We have the "Khajiit", who are a cat-people race, such as lions or lionesses
.
13
We also have the "Argonian" race, which are lizard people from the swamps
.
14
Then we have the "Dark Elf"
.
They are also known as "Dunmer", and they have darker skin and red eyes.
15
Then, we have "Nord", who are very much like Vikings
.
They are big, tall, powerful Viking-types.
16
There are different kinds of "ALLIANCE", which can also be chosen from the panel on the right-hand side of the screen
.
There is the "Daggerfall Covenant", which is the Breton groups. We have the "Aldermeri Dominion", which is the elving groups. Last, we have the "Ebonheart Pact", which is the swamp-dwellers, the dark elves and the Nords. These are basically the outcasts.
17
If we want to see quickly what our character might look like, we can click "Randomize Appearance" in the bottom right corner of the screen
.
This will randomly change the character. It is completely random, as we can see. Each time we click "Randomize Appearance", we'll get another option.
18
Now, let's click on the "Class", which is the second option in the menu at the top of the panel on the right-hand side of the screen
.
This option will allow us to change the class. It's a base class. We can do quite a bit as we move through with each class. Each class can serve to fill functions of the other class. We have "Dragonknight", which is a powerful fighter. They also use some bits of magic.
19
We have the "Sorcerer", which was previously selected in the demonstration
.
Sorcerers obviously use magic, such as lightning bolts and that type of thing.
20
We also have "Nightblade", who are thieves
.
They are also good with bows and arrows.
21
Then, we have "Templar", who are something more of a holy knight
.
They fight and have a bit of light damage.
22
Let's select "Body", which is the third option from the menu at the top
.
23
We have a triangular bit under "Body Type", which will allow us to go up to "Muscular", or down to "Thin" or "Large", whichever we prefer
.
24
We can change "Skin Color" under "Features"
.
25
Again, the "Randomize Appearance" option is there
.
26
Lastly, we can change the "Face", which is the fourth option in the menu at the top
.
There are a number of different things we can do with the face.
27
Under "Face Type", we can choose a "Soft" face, or a more "Heroic" face, if we prefer
.
These settings are something that the game decides. Apparently, according to the game, heroes have big chins.
28
Then, we simply enter in our character's name in the bar below the menu at the top
.
In this case, we are going to name ourselves, the mighty "VisiHow".
29
Once we've done this, we can then go down to the bottom right
.
The option to the left of "Randomize Appearance" is "Create". We will click "Create".
30
This will create "VisiHow" for us, and "VisiHow" will be logged into the game
.
31
You'll want to check our next tutorial on how to start off playing
.
This is the end of our tutorial on how to create your character. Now we've created the character, and we are into the game. From here, please check in for the next tutorial. Thanks for choosing VisiHow, and have a great day.
