Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we're going to show you how to copy scanned text and send it in a message when using the Microsoft Lumia 535.
Steps
1
To start, turn the phone on by pressing the power button, which is located on the right-hand side of the phone
.
2
Once activated, swipe the lock screen up to enter the home screen
.
3
We now need to scan some text in order to show you how to copy it and paste it into a message
.
4
To do that, we need to use Lumia Camera
.
This application and this tile may exist on your home screen.
5
If not, you can find it by swiping left and entering the app menu
.
6
Find it and press the tile to enter it
.
7
Once loaded, we need to press the menu button, which is the three dots on the bottom right-hand corner of the screen
.
8
Once pressed, a menu will pop up and you will then select "lenses"
.
9
Now we need to use Big Vision so press the Big Vision tile
.
10
The camera is now activated
.
It is trying to scan for Quick Response, which is also known as QR codes.
11
When we place text in front of it, the scan text button will become active and we will be able to scan some text
.
12
The scan text button has become activated now and we can press it.
13
The camera recognized that text has appeared and has prepared to scan it in order to copy it
.
As you can see, a selection of white rectangles has encased every word in the text.
14
What we want to do is copy this to the phone
.
To do that, press the menu button again.
15
You will see the "copy all" option
.
Press that option.
16
All of the selected text has now been copied
.
If we want to return to the home screen, which we do, we press the home screen button at the bottom.
17
Now we need to send this text in a message
.
So press the message tile.
18
Yours may be located in a different position than mine
.
Find it and press it to enter the message application.
19
We want to send a new message
.
So we are going to press the "+" sign at the bottom of the screen.
20
If we want to reply to a message, we could also maybe find it in one of our previous messages as well, but we need to create a new message
.
Here we have the recipients at the top and at the bottom we have the area in which we can place the text.
21
What we want to do now is paste the text that we have copied
.
When there is something to paste, the paste icon appears. You can see it here under the text box. It is the icon that looks like a clipboard with the white file.
22
If we press this we are going to paste the last thing we copied
.
So press that. Now we can see we have pasted all the text we scanned into the text box.
23
This is a very useful function/application/tool that allows us to copy text very quickly using the Big Vision application, and then send it to our friend or our colleague
.
This concludes our tutorial on how to copy scanned text and then send it quickly when using a Microsoft Lumia 535. If you have any questions or comments about this video, then please leave them in the comments section below. You've been watching VisiHow. Goodbye!
