What You Will Need

  • A PlayStation 3 console.
  • A wireless network in the home or location where you are setting up the PC. The network will also need internet access.
  • A TV or monitor to connect your PlayStation 3 to.
  • The settings for your wireless network, like the network name (SSID), the password and the encryption (security) type.
  • Before you begin, start by resetting your PlayStation console and your network equipment. To do this, just turn off and remove the power from each device for around 30 seconds before powering them back on. If possible, ensure that your wireless network is connected to the internet by testing it on another device like a computer, Tablet or phone.

Tips, Tricks & Warnings

  • Make sure that the Ethernet cable is not connected when you attempt the wireless setup. Having a wired connection will force the PlayStation to automatically connect to Ethernet and ignore any wireless activity.
