The PlayStation 3 was one of the top selling game consoles of the previous generation and still enjoys a huge market share as we move on to the next. With the PlayStation 3, Sony introduced a wealth of online features like online game-play, game downloads, downloadable game content, movies and music downloads just to name a few. To get the most from your PlayStation 3 you will need to connect the console to the internet and with the built in wireless capabilities, it's much easier than you might think. Read on below to find out how.
What You Will Need
- A PlayStation 3 console.
- A wireless network in the home or location where you are setting up the PC. The network will also need internet access.
- A TV or monitor to connect your PlayStation 3 to.
- The settings for your wireless network, like the network name (SSID), the password and the encryption (security) type.
- Before you begin, start by resetting your PlayStation console and your network equipment. To do this, just turn off and remove the power from each device for around 30 seconds before powering them back on. If possible, ensure that your wireless network is connected to the internet by testing it on another device like a computer, Tablet or phone.
