You're watching VisiHow. In this tutorial, we are going to show you how to connect another device to your personal hotspot with Bluetooth on the iPhone 6.
Steps
1
To begin, we locate and tap the Home button at the bottom in the center of the phone
.
2
3
We enter a passcode or press and hold a finger to unlock the phone
.
4
When we are on the Home screen of the device, we are looking for the "Settings"
.
5
We tap the "Settings" icon
.
The icon is silver and gray, and it has a series of gears inside of it. One tap will open the "Settings" panel. Once on the "Settings" panel, we are looking for two things.
6
First, we want "Bluetooth"
.
This option needs to be turned on.
7
Second, we want "Personal Hotspot"
.
It also needs to be turned on.
8
We are going to start by tapping "Personal Hotspot"
.
This will take us to the "Personal Hotspot" menu.
9
We need to make sure that "Personal Hotspot" is enabled
.
10
We need to confirm the password
.
11
Then, we simply tap "Back" to "Settings"
.
12
Next, we're going to tap "Bluetooth"
.
13
We are going to tap the "Bluetooth" toggle once to enable Bluetooth
.
This will enable Bluetooth.
14
Now, we are looking for other devices
.
If we do not immediately see any other devices, then we need to take one such as the HTC One M8.
15
We turn the HTC One M8 on by pressing the Power button
.
16
We tap and hold the screen
.
17
18
Then, from the "Settings" menu, we tap the "Bluetooth" toggle
.
One tap on "Bluetooth" will enable Bluetooth. Our HTC One M8 should now show up as a device on the device list of our iPhone 6. Additionally, we should be able to select the iPhone 6 and connect to the Internet.
19
Let's tap "Bluetooth" on the HTC One M8
.
20
We tap "Scan for devices"
.
We'll see that the phone is scanning for devices.
21
The iPhone 6 will be in the "AVAILABLE DEVICES", so we tap the device name
.
It is "iPhone" in this example. The Bluetooth pairing question will show up. We can tap "PAIR" later on.
22
We'll need to compare the information if we see that the pass key is confirmed
.
In this example, it is 585617 on both devices.
23
We tap "PAIR" on the HTC One M8 and "Pair" on the iPhone 6
.
We want to pair the two devices now. They will be connected. In this example, "iPhone" and "visihowl" are both connected. We should be able to access the Internet now by using the Bluetooth function of the iPhone 6. "Personal Hotspot. 1 Connection" will be displayed on the iPhone 6.
24
This is the connection to our personal hotspot, and we can tap to see it
.
The phone will show us that it is our personal hotspot.
25
We tap "Settings" to go back
.
The hotspot is functioning now and connecting through Bluetooth.
26
If we like, we can press the Home button on the iPhone 6 to go back to the Home screen
.
The connectivity will be continuing to be displayed by "Personal Hotspot. 1 Connection". This is paired through Bluetooth.
This concludes our tutorial on how to use your personal hotspot on the iPhone 6 to allow other devices to connect to the Internet using Bluetooth.
