Gamers are getting more and more into mobile gaming and there are many types of games out there like. First Person Shooter and Hack and Slash. There are fighting games, role playing games, and side scrolling games. However, these types of games are sometimes difficult and ridiculous to play due to the touchscreen controls on mobile devices.

Now, I've found out there is a way to plug your Xbox 360 controller into an Android mobile phone using an OTG cable (On The Go Cable). Here's a "How To" article on connecting an Xbox 360 controller to a Samsung Galaxy S4, using an OTG cable, to get the next level of gaming experience.

   They are available at most electronic stores, or online, you can order one from Amazon or eBay. An OTG cable costs less than $10.

   Connect the OTG to your phone

   If you already have the cable, or have just purchased one, locate the micro USB port on your Samsung Galaxy S4, which is located at the bottom of the phone or near the "Home" button.

   When you've connected your Samsung Galaxy 4 to your Xbox 360 via the OTG cable, it should automatically detect the Xbox 360 controller.

• On some games, you'll need to go to the game settings to manually assign the keys.
• Not all Android games support OTG USB game controllers.
• Root access isn't required for OTG gaming controller. It's completely plug and play.
• The OTG cable also supports many other devices, like a USB mouse, keyboard, pen drive, card reader, portable hard drive- even PlayStation 2 controller.

My Xbox controller connection to Android, S4?

It says the USB is connected on my phone, but my controller is not turning on. Are you sure it automatically picks up and configures it on my phone? My controller is a wireless controller, but it has a cord to recharge the controller so I can plug into the OTG cable.

As long as your phone detects the controller, you will be to use it for your games. You will, however, need to configure it for each compatible game you're playing. Some games from the play store are not compatible with external controllers, so there's nothing you can do about that. Most, if not all, console emulator apps will also let you set up the controller. Just look for button-mapping options in the app's settings. It's not an automatic configuration. You'll need to set up the buttons yourself.

I'm following these instructions, and using a USB - OTG adapter. The phone recognizes when I plug in the adapter, but doesn't recognize the controller when I connect it. Although the controller works just fine on my Xbox, and blinks when I plug it in to the Galaxy S4, so the power it on. Any advice?

Connecting to Samsung Tab S 10.5?

This used to work. I'm using a wired 360 controller with the OTG cable, and when I plug it into my tablet, I can't get it to work. All the lights on the controller are just flashing. I have tried: Checked settings, unplugged and re-plugged, this used to work before, but now I can't figure out why it is not. I think it was caused by: I'm not sure.
