How do I make sound work when headphones are plugged in?

There is no sound at all from the headphones that came with the Edge. WHY ?. I have tried: Plugging them in, blowing in the port, etc.. I think it was caused by: Bad product? GOT ME. LOL

There can be many factors causing this. To solve them, attempt to perform the following:

• turn up the volume with the volume up button;
• if you installed any volume programs, find and run them. An installed third-party application can turn down the volume to zero when headphones are connected;
• wiggle headphones inside the connector to see if you get any sound;
• check the connector itself: there might be something like a piece of cover material stuck inside, which needs fishing out;
• replace headphones with another pair. If those were headphones with a microphone, try headphones without a microphone;
• install a program to force outputs to headphones. For example, SoundAbout. You can launch it, tap on "Media audio" and "Phone call audio" and force-enable your headphones or headset;
• finally, there is an option of hard-resetting your phone. To do that, press the home button, tap on "Apps", "Settings", "Accounts", "Back-up & reset", "Factory data reset", and "Reset device". This will erase all of your data.

If nothing helps, you may need to send your phone to a Samsung service center.

Hi, S6 not connecting to headphones?

My headphones are still not working, i.e. sound is still coming from the phone. Any suggestions?. I have tried: It's working now - I've removed my chunky phone case and without this, the headphone jack will go in that tiny bit further and they work! Thanks

What am I missing in hearing the voice through Samsung S6?

I connect the headphones to the Samsung S6 but I don't hear the voice through it, where is the problem? Is there anything I should press when connecting the headphones, no voice is going through them, but I'm sure they are fine!

My headphones are not working, there is no sound, and usually with other phones at the top status bar would show a picture of headphones but that isn't appearing either?

I thought it might've been the headphones but tried a few different ones I'm not getting any sound and usually with other phones at the top status bar would show a picture of headphones but that isn't appearing either.
