Take the cable end of the headphones where you see the male headphone jack

Lift the phone so that the top side is facing you

Take the headphones connector and place it into the female socket

Simply hold both the phone and the headphones and apply firm pressure onto the jack to push it in. You will hear a small click and it will be inserted.

Do note that there will be a little space left between the connector and the phone

This is normal. It's not something you should worry about. Don't try to force the headphones in. They are designed to be seated like that.

When you're ready to remove the headphones, simply take the connector firmly with your fingers and pull it out

It may take a little effort to do that. Do keep in mind that the headphones should never be pulled by the cable. If you pull by the cable, you will break the cable over time, and you will need to replace the headphones. Instead, always hold the connector itself when inserting or removing it.
