Questions and Answers

How can I connect our Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7-inch (GT-P3100) to our Samsung Smart TV UE39F5300AK?

Hi, we are trying to connect our Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7-inch (GT-P3100) to our Samsung Smart TV UE39F5300AK. What is the best and cheapest way to do this? Lots of information on the internet, and some of the sources say you can't connect a 7-inch Tab to a TV. Can you please help?

The information you have read online is correct. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7-inch GT-P3100 cannot, by itself, connect to your Samsung Smart TV. It lacks both Miracast and an MHL adapter, so you can't automatically stream your device to your TV, nor can you connect it to your television through an HDMI adapter. However, there is a way that you connect your Galaxy Tab 2 7-inch to your Samsung Smart TV. It's called the Google Chromecast, and it connects your devices by communicating through your home's WiFi network; in other words, it circumvents the need for Miracast or MHL. Click here to purchase the Google Chromecast. When you get the device, plug it into your TV. Then, download the Google Chromecast app on your Galaxy Tab and open it. Tap the Chromecast device that's on your network. Your Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7-inch will now be connected to your Samsung Smart TV, and you can stream pictures, videos, music, YouTube, Netflix, your device's screen, and other files directly to your TV.
