   To begin, press the lock button on the right-hand side of the phone

   Swipe to the right to enter your passcode

   As an alternative to entering your passcode, put your finger on the home button to use the fingerprint scanner.

   Once at the home screen, find and tap on the Google icon which is blue with a recognizable Google "G"

   Tap on the gear icon in the top-left corner to go to the settings menu

    Tap on "CLEAR ON-DEVICE HISTORY" to confirm the action and permanently delete the history

    This will delete the history automatically and we will see that the option is now unavailable.
