    Questions and Answers

I have a USB 3.0 on my PC and when I charge it to my Note3 via USB 3.0, I do not feel it's any different from the USB 2.0

There is an ongoing debate with users about USB 3.0 on the Note3. Some say it the charging is faster; others say it does not affect the charging speed. Based on our tests with a Note3, we did not notice any change in the charging speed when using the USB 3.0. Transfer rates, thankfully, are much faster, but charging speed remains the same. As some people have claimed their phones charged faster with the USB 3.0, make you aren't making the same mistakes USB 3.0 users often make:

    • You may have not turned on USB 3.0. By default USB 3.0 is not enabled on Samsung Galaxy Note3. You need to enable it. To enable USB 3.0 on the Note3:
      • Connect your Note3 to your computer via the USB 3.0 cable.
      • Pull down the notification panel by doing a dragging gesture from the top-most part of the screen to the bottom of it.
      • Tap on Connected as a Media Device.
      • On the USB connection options, tap on the bottom option: Media Device (USB 3.0).

      • You are done enabling USB 3.0. Note: you'll need to enable it every time you want to use it - as it's deactivated by default.
    • You may not be using a USB 3.0 cable. You may be using the USB 2.0 cable. Make sure you use the USB 3.0 cable that came with your Samsung Galaxy Note3. USB 3.0 port is also compatible with USB 2.0 cable and will only yield the same result as USB 2.0.
    • You may have not made transfers in the last ten minutes. If you don't make any transfers after 10 minutes, the USB 3.0 on your phone will be deactivated and you will be back to USB 2.0. If you want to use the USB 3.0, and it's been more than ten minutes since the last transfer, then you may need to turn it on again by repeating the steps above.

My Samsung Galaxy Note3 Neo is taking an unusually long time to charge. Can you help me to resolve this issue?

Hi there, I have a 4 month old Galaxy Note3 Neo. One day, when I woke up in the morning, I saw my mobile was dead and it was not charging. So I tried and tried but it didn't help, my last resort was to gently clean my phone's charging port with a paintbrush. After that it was showing the "charging battery" icon, but, I feel that it's taking an unusually long time to charge (and the charging hasn't gone beyond the 35% mark). Please help!
