Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we're going to show you how to change the color scheme of the "Messages" section of an HTC One M8.
To begin, turn the phone On by pressing the power button located on the top of the phone. Once the phone has been activated, you'll see the lock screen.
To unlock the phone, press down on the screen and hold down until an icon appears, and then swipe up. Once the phone has been unlocked, we'll see the home screen and several icons at the bottom of the screen.
We need to find the "Messages" icon. It is a square chat box with three green lines in it. Press down on this icon to enter the "Messages" section.
We need to find the "Settings" menu. To do that, press the icon located in the top right-hand corner of the screen. It is three white squares in a vertical line. Press down on this icon to open a menu.
We want to choose the second option from the bottom. It will "Settings" in white text. Press down on it to open the "Settings" menu.
Press down on the bottom option, "General", to see the settings.
Scroll all the way down to the bottom, and we'll see the "Personalize" section. It will say "Personalize" in black, and underneath, it will say "Color scheme - Change message bubble color & texture". This can help us customize our HTC One M8. Press down on this option, and it's going to allow us to choose a color scheme.
We can choose one that we like the look of. Perhaps we like bold colors. Let's choose the option in the bottom right-hand corner. Press down on it, and it's now been selected.
Press the "Back" arrow located at the bottom left-hand corner of the phone. Press it twice to go back to the "Messages" section, and we can see what it looks like.
Press the white plus sign located at the top of the screen.
We can see the color scheme that has been chosen. When we see people writing messages, we can see the different colors.
Press the "Back" arrow located at the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. Press it twice to go back.
Press down on a message to select it.
We can see that the text box is pink, and the background is a blackish-gray with crisscross lines. We can see how the color scheme has been changed to reflect our own desire. We can change it back by going to the same option. Go back to the same place in the general settings menu and change it there.
This concludes our tutorial on how to change the color scheme of the "Messages" section of an HTC One M8.
