By default, Samsung Galaxy S5's settings view is on a modified tab-view. All setting options are grouped per tab depending on their functions and can be browsed vertically. There is an option to switch from a tab-view to a list-view. Depending on your preference, you can switch between view types easily, by going to the Settings on your device.

Change Samsung Galaxy S5's Settings View to List-Type

To change the Setting's default tab-view to a list-type on Samsung Galaxy S5, follow these procedures:

    Go to your Samsung Galaxy S5's Home screen

    Press the Home button once or tap on the Back key a few times until you get to the Home screen.

    Once you are on the Home screen, tap on the Apps icon located on the lower part of the phone's screen

    The Apps icon will take you to the application folder where you can view all of your phone's installed applications.

    Once you are in the Application folder, scroll down until you get to the Settings

    From the Additional options shown, tap on List view to change the Settings view into a list-type.
