    To begin, open the emulator

    A shortcut for PPSSPP is on the desktop in this video. You may have the program saved in a different location.

    When the emulator has been opened, click "Settings" on the right side of the window

    Click the "Graphics" section on the left-hand side of the window
    .
    Under the "Rendering mode" heading at the top of the window, you will see three options: "Backend", "Mode", and "Simulate block transfer effects".

    In order to change the rendering method, click "Backend"
    .
    "Backend" is currently set to "OpenGL".

    You can either click "Direct3D9" or "OpenGL"
    .
    The best option for your computer will depend on the capabilities of your operating system. For this tutorial, let's go ahead and click "Direct3D9". A message will appear that reads "Changing GPU backends requires PPSSPP to restart. Restart now?"
