   In order to rearrange the preferred language order, unlock your iPad

   Then, tap on the "Settings" option

   The "Settings" option is the bottom-left icon. It's a gear-shaped box icon. It should look the same on all of the iPad tablets. Tapping this option opens the "Settings" panel.

   On the "Settings" panel, tap on the seventh option, "General"

   It should be highlighted in blue.

   Next, scroll down on the other side until you find "Language & Region"

   Tap on "Language & Region"

   This will open "Language & Region". In the second section, you'll see the list of your languages. In this case, those are English, Simplified Chinese, and French.

   Tap on the "Edit" button in the top right-hand corner

   Red circles with a white dash will appear next to each language. This red circle with a white dash allows us to delete the language next to it. On the right side, you will have sets of three horizontal lines. These allow us to change the order of languages.

   Tap and hold the required triple-line icon

   In this video, the one next to the French language is tapped and held. This will "lift" the language tab.

   Then, you can drag the "lifted" language up or down the list

   You can also move it all the way to the top if that's your preference.

   In this video, Simplified Chinese is moved up the list by one place

    You can also place English as your preferred language

    You can do that by placing it back to the top. In this video, the preferred language order will be #* English; #* French; #* Simplified Chinese.

    When you've finished, simply tap on "Done"

    You'll be asked if you wish to change the language order preference.

    If you agree, tap on "Continue"

    Once you've tapped on that, the language order will set. The tablet will return to the portrait mode.

    Tilt the device slightly

    The display will reorient correctly. In this video, the landscape mode will be used. You'll see that the language order has been changed, and you will be able to resume using your tablet as normal.
