You're watching VisiHow. In this video, we're going to show how to change the image settings to RAW on the Canon T4i (650D) camera.
Press the "MENU" button. It is the top-left button on the camera. You'll go to the menu.
Press "SET" for "Image quality". Alternatively, tap it on the screen.
You can tap on a large-format JPEG icon.
You can tap on a medium-format JPEG icon.
You can tap on another medium-format JPEG icon.
You can tap on four small-format JPEG icons. In square brackets, the camera will show you the number of pictures that you can take.
Tap on "S3". In this video, there is a capacity of 10,000 photos on this card.
Tap on the RAW plus JPEG icon. This icon has a bar and "L". This will yield 881 photos.
Tap on the RAW icon. The RAW icon is a bar. This will give 1151 photos. It's recommended to use the RAW format, because you can always resize and compress the photos later using software that is on your computer.
You can tap on the RAW plus JPEG icon again. This might be useful if you have a WiFi SD card and you are transmitting the photos in real time to an iPhone device, for example, to be published on the Internet.
In any case, once you select the image format you want, tap on "OK". The image format will be set. Alternatively, you can also press "SET" on the right-hand panel.
That was how to change the image quality on the Canon 650D (or T4i) camera. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them in the space below. Thanks for watching VisiHow!
