You're watching VisiHow. In this video, we're going to show how to change the default zoom settings in Google Chrome.
You may notice that you can change the zoom settings by pressing the "command" and "+" keys while you are on a web site.
If you reopen the same web site, it will zoom in or out to the previous setting for the site.
If you were to go to a different web site, then the site would appear with the regular zoom setting.
You can change the default zoom settings by clicking the triple-line icon in the upper-right corner of the window. A drop-down menu will appear.
In the menu, click "Settings".
You may need to scroll down.
Click "Show Advanced Settings" near the bottom of the page under the "Default browser" heading.
You may need to scroll down again.
Under "Web content", click the "Page zoom" drop-down menu.
Click a percentage. For this tutorial, let's click "150 %".
Now, go back to the last web site. It is cnn.com in this video. You will see that the content will be zoomed to 150 %.
Now, reload the other web site. You will see that its view is also set to 150 %.
Now, press "command" + "-" to get to the 100% zoom.
Open a new tab for the same site. You'll see that the web site remains zoomed at 100 %, even though the default zoom is now set to 150 %.
