Steps

In order to proceed, we need to unlock the device and go to the home screen
.

Once we are on the home screen, we can swipe down from the top of the screen with our finger
.
We will open the notification panel.

In the top right-hand corner, we will find the gear-shaped Settings icon
.
We tap it once.

We tap the "General" menu once

We look for "Device manager" on the left-hand panel
.
The first option under "Device manager" is "Date and time". We tap it once. The first option in "Date and time" is "Set date".

To change the date, we tap on "Set date" once

We change the date by tapping the up or down arrows
.

For example, we tap the month up arrow
.
The month will change to November in this video.

We tap the month down arrow twice
.
The month will change to September in this video.

We can tap the arrows around the day
.
We will change the day.

Alternatively, we can change the day by tapping the calendar screen
.

We can tap the up and down arrows around the year
.
We will change the year.
