Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to change the color scheme of the Messages section on an HTC One M8.

   Press the Power button on the top of the phone to turn the screen on

   Once the screen has been turned on we will see the lock screen.

   Press a finger on the lock screen and swipe up to unlock the phone

   Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the Home screen and at the bottom of the screen, the main icons.

   Tap the Messages icon at the bottom of the screen, left of the middle

   The Messages icon is a square chat bubble with three green horizontal lines on it.

   Tap the Menu icon in the top right corner of the screen to open the options menu

   The Menu icon appears as three small white squares in a vertical line.

   Tap "Color scheme" under the "PERSONALIZE" section of the General Settings

   These settings will allow us to change the message bubble color and texture.

   Tap one of the available color schemes

   There are nine different color schemes to choose from. Each color scheme has a different set of colors to help us customize our HTC One M8 based on our own preferences. Keep in mind, the darker colors are sometimes harder to see. The lighter colors use more battery, but can be easier to see.
