Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to change the level of the voice navigation in the Google Maps application on an HTC One M8.

   To begin, turn the phone on

   Press the power button located on the top of the phone. Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen.

   To unlock the phone, swipe the screen upwards

   Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the home screen, and at the bottom, we will see a row of icons. It is in this area that we need to focus now because we need to open up the applications folder.

   Press the icon located at the bottom of the home screen in the middle

   It looks like a grid of white dots. This is the icon for the applications folder.

   Find the Maps application

   It is located in the top row. The icon looks like a map with a red pin inside of it, and it says the word "Maps" underneath. Press down on this icon and it will open up Google Maps.

   Access the application's settings menu

   In the top left-hand corner of the screen, there are three horizontal grey lines. Press down on this icon to open a menu.

   Scroll down and press on "Settings"

   Now we are in the "Settings" menu.

   Scroll down to find the "Navigation settings" option and press down on it

   Press down on the top option, which says "Voice level" and underneath, "Normal"

   .

   This brings up a pop-up with the option to make the voice level louder or softer, depending on the situation. If we're in public, we might want to use a softer voice level. If we're driving or if there is a lot of noise, we might want to use a louder voice level to make sure we can hear what's happening and what's being said, to make sure we can hear the directions that are being given.

   Make a choice

   We can see that "Normal" is selected because the adjacent circle is blue. To change that, just press down on any one of the other options. We will press down on the word "Louder". Now it says the word "Louder" under "Voice level" in the "Navigation Settings" menu, indicating that we have successfully changed the voice level.

    To change it again, press down on "Voice Level." The blue circle has changed its position
