    To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button located on top of the phone

    Once the phone has been activated, we'll see the lock screen

    To unlock the phone, press down on the screen and hold down until the two padlock icons appear at the bottom

    Then swipe up.

    Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the Home screen
    .
    At the bottom, we will see a row of several icons. What we need to do now is find the Settings menu. To do that, we can swipe down the Notification panel.

    Press down at the top of the screen, hold, then swipe down

    Let's scroll down to the "PHONE" section

    Next to those words is an icon of a speaker emitting some sound waves.

    Press down on this, and it will take us into the "Sound & notification" menu

    At the top is the "GENERAL" section, indicated by the word "GENERAL" in the gray bar

    Directly beneath that is "Sound profile"

    If we press down on this, a new screen of options will appear.

    "Normal" is currently selected, indicated by the green circle on the right side
    .
    This is the standard, normal profile. Normal sounds will work as they have been selected to.

    With the second option "Vibrate", the phone will be silent
    .
    It won't make any noise, but it is going to vibrate. This makes a little bit of noise. There's no sound, but we will hear the vibrations.

    The final option is "Silent"
    .
    That means it won't vibrate or make any sound at all. Choose the desired option by tapping on one of the three choices.

    It will then take us out of that menu screen, and the word under "Sound profile" will have changed to whatever profile was chosen

    If we press down on "Sound profile" again, those options will appear, and it will show that "Vibrate" is the option we have selected

    Now, we'll tap on "Normal" to choose that

    The word "Normal" will appear under "Sound profile"

    There is also another quick way to do this. Going into the Settings is the longer way to do it, but it can be done a lot quicker.

    Press the volume button on the right-hand side of the phone
    .
    When we do this, it is going to bring up a bar. It will disappear very quickly, so we might have to press down on the button again to bring it back.

    We can scroll through the different sound profiles by tapping in the same location
    .
    The icons will change as we do this. The phone icon represents normal. The image of the front of a cell phone with some wavy lines around it represents vibrate. The speaker with an "x" beside it represents silent.

    Notice as we change the sound profiles by tapping through the different icons that the word under "Sound profile" changes as we change the different profiles

    This is a very quick way of changing this setting and changing the sound profile. However, both ways work just as well.
