Change Your Windows 8 Local Account Picture

Edited by Doug Collins, Eng

Hi. You are watching VisiHow. Today we are going to show you how to change your account picture on a Windows 8 local user account. This is different than an account that is connected to a Microsoft or Microsoft Outlook, Hotmail, or Live Account which many people have as it is specific to an actual machine. Generally speaking, we recommend that you have an online account as opposed to a local account as it makes recovery of a lost password or a locked system significantly easier than if you simply have a local account. However, for the purpose of today's tutorial, we are just going to focus on a local account.

Steps

  1. 1
So, to get started, the first thing that we are going to do is press our Windows key.
