Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to turn on and off vibration for call notifications in WhatsApp on an HTC One M8.

Steps

    To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone
    .
    Once the phone has been activated we will see the lock screen.

    To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up
    .
    Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We now need to open the application folder.

    We can do that by tapping the icon in the middle, at the bottom of the screen

    There is a grid of white dots. This is the icon for the applications folder.

    Now that the folder has been opened, we need to find and tap the WhatsApp application
    .
    There is a WhatsApp icon, which is a green speech bubble with a white telephone inside, and underneath it says "WhatsApp". Your application may be in a different location, so look for the icon in your folder.

    We now need to tap the menu icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen

    There are three small white dots in a vertical line.

    Scroll right to the bottom and tap on the "Vibrate" option in the "Call notifications" section
    .
    In this example it says, "Default" underneath, indicating the option that is currently selected. This vibration option is related to phone calls. We can choose if our phone vibrates and how it vibrates if anyone on WhatsApp calls us. We will have four options: "Off", "Default", "Short" and "Long". Long vibration helps to alert us that we have a phone call, especially if the phone is in our pocket.

    Tap on the chosen option

    We're going to press down on "Long". It will then say "Long" underneath of "Vibrate", indicating that we have successfully changed this option.
