Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to change your username when using the Instagram application on the Microsoft Lumia 535.

   To get started, turn the phone on by pressing the power button on the right-hand side of the phone

   Once the lock screen is activated, swipe up to unlock the phone and access the home screen

   Find and press the Instagram tile to open the application

   It has a navy blue background with a camera in the middle. In this example, it is on the bottom of the home screen. If the Instagram tile is not pinned to the home screen, swipe left and find it in the apps menu. We now want to demonstrate how to change our username. Perhaps we've had a change of heart, we've gotten bored of our username, or we're being followed by someone we don't want to be, this is a way of getting a new identity.

   To do that, tap on the 3 blue dots in the bottom right-hand corner

   In the settings menu, we need to be in the 'you' section

   Type in the preferred username, then press down on the checkmark at the bottom when you're happy with it. The application will go back to the 'you' page, which means it has been accepted. If we enter a username that is already taken, it will tell us and ask us to input another choice.
